SUSTAINABILITY
PLASTIC TENT WASTE

Tents are made from a mixture of nylon, polyester, and various metals, making them difficult & expensive to recycle.
Some estimates say that 250,000 camping tents are thrown into landfill or the incinerator every year from music festivals in the UK alone. A great many more get thrown into the same places after the end of their working lives.
Because of this, camping tents make a notorious contribution to the plastic pollution we see in the world, particularly in our oceans.
Even after their materials are broken down by micro-organisms, the micro-plastics remain and find their way into our oceans, and into our food chain.
A NEW KIND OF TENT
BassCamp is creating a new kind of tent.
A tent that doesn't use up dwindling fossil fuel resources, given its materials will be made from natural and recycled sources.
A tent that once disposed of, won't damage our environment and contribute to climate change.
We plan to launch such a tent in late 2021.
